I'm a mole hater

Moles are currently tearing up my lawn. Right now if I get down on my hands and knees I can hear disco music. They are certainly living large.

Therefore I have to take action. Immediately.

I'm not going to poison them, I don't want the dog to eat the poison or the dead mole. I don't like ground-based insecticides either. Not good for the bay. (or me)

SO I'M GONNA SPEAR THEM LITTLE BASTARDS!!!

Sweet. Post pics!!

My grandfather used to drop smoke bombs into the holes and clog up all the entrances. He blasted any that came out with his shotgun.

This is if you have a regular lot size. Believe it or not, start pouring Pinesol down the holes. It will drive them away. My dad's place had one dirt clump. As soon as I saw this, I poured Pinesol down the hole and he was gone....

Pour some gasoline down the holes and then set them on fire! 4th of July is coming soon so it makes for a great show!

Good luck... I never had any success with those things. You've gotta get rid of the grubs and if you don't want to use insecticide, get nematodes. Besides, if you do get rid of the moles without doing something about the grubs that are attracting them, the grubs are going to destroy your lawn even more than the moles.

"FREEZE GOPHER!!!!"
Different rodent, same idea - you can just buy more grass anyway.

I agree with the poster above - get rid of what they are hanging around for - that and the gasoline idea sounds nice - put video up on consumptionjunction.com please.

I have heard that you can drive them out with vibrations... Just park your car out there and crank the tunes...Thump, thump, thump...

No disco though, since it is already playing - they obviously like it.

The smokebombs I mentioned earlier do pretty much the same thing. Just drop a few in the holes and no more gophers.

I've heard that you can put half a 2liter bottle in line with their hole & the little guys get trapped.

Hard to explain, I'll try & find a diagram on the net.
