good job and all, but I say this sub forum goes the way of the "good eats" section we had a while back.

i doubt it.

one... i'll be renovating my house for at least a year straight. so i'll keep it plenty active.

two... good eats was passive participation. it could only work if everyone was sharing recipes, they weren't, because most of us suck at cooking. so it was like 2 guys posting shit, and the rest of us saying thanks.

home and garden is pretty active participation, theres lots of doers and theres askers. it goes full circle.

"I'll be renovating for a year" Soopa says...

Well, good luck pal. But I consider yourself to be quite the optomist considering your grand scheme of plans.

You will be suprised how often you will "fire yourself" temporarilly.

I can see this sub-forum having at least several dedicated people. Not only will there be a lot of Q&A but we're all going to want to see pics of each other's progress.

Just reading some of the threads here remind me of stuff that's on my "to do list".

When I bought my house, it really didn't need anything (except applicances). After 4 years, it needs exterior paint, the driveway sealcoated, and the ceiling in the bathroom redone.

Soopa read my mind. I just closed a week ago and am fixing up the crib. Doing floor, walls, kitchen now. Future plans: landscaping, bathrooms, baby room conversion.
