Its the base model since it doesnt have Navigation. I want to buy the car..but its already in its second owner and has 30k miles. I'd be the third owner and if I want to sell it that might be a problem dont you think?
Also hes asking for $22500, I dont know if thats too high considering the miles and number of owners. What would you guys do? I love the 09s but im worried in about 2 years from now when I want to upgrade people wont want to buy a car with 3 owners and probably 60k miles.

Anyway let me know what you guys think, oh and also if anyone has already paid for their carfax report and wants to look up the vin for me please let me know, it'd be great help too!

I received an "authorized buy back notice" from my friendly Acura/Suburu dealer today:yuck:

They will buy back your 2000-2008 Acura for FULL MSRP, based on NADA car guide.

It goes on to say, "obviously, your current vehecle must be in safe working condition, normal wear and tear and free of paint and collision damage. The only deductions will be made for mileage ( .10-.65 depending on model and condition-minimum 15,000 miles/model year) We don't want to scrutinize every aspect of your trade.:what:

We only want to sell you a new car for a payment less then you ever thought possible. LMAO

I figure I have a 2005 tl with 92,350 miles and she's clean:toocool: But I'm sure I'll fall into the .65 deduction range.

Let's see I'm 17,350 over the "average" miles, so that's a $11,277.50 deduction. I think I paid around 34,000 Back in Jan, 05.... SOOOOO ya think I can get $22,722.5 from a dealer????:whyme: Me neither

Stay tuned I'm going over there this afternoon, Just to have fun with them..

Alrite guys I'll just get right to this. About a month ago I got a flat coming back from Irvine, its about a 50 min trip away from home for me. I pull off the freeway and drive into the first lot I see which is a Taco Bell. I give AAA a call and in about 15 mins I have a driver there. So far so good. My car is slammed so it was pretty much going to be impossible to fit a regular floor jack under it. I needed them to mostly take of the lug nuts since I didnt have they key for them with me.

So after driving up on a block the truck driver pretty much forces the jack under scraping the sideskirt..I say no big deal because its the bottom. We move onto the wheel. Take the wheel off and he helps me roll it to the back of the car, okay great. I'd like to point out at this time that the truck driver is being a complete dick, I asked how his day was going and got one word answers, after that he continued to whistle the entire time. Shit got annoying. Anyways after he rolls the wheels toward the back of the car I ask him where the hole was. This is when the shit hits the fan, he tosses my rim over and just walks back toward the front of the car. He tosses over and this is when i was completely shocked..this was done to the side of where the lip is sticking out. My tires are stretched so there absolutely nothing to protect it. I call him out on it and told him that he scratched the lip doing that and he denies right away. What bs, we move forward and as he now takes his jack out from under my car he rips off paint with it!!! :whyme: I cringe and dont say anything because he was just going to deny that as well.

I call AAA right away and file a complaint. I call the contracting company and file a complaint. It takes me 3 days to get to the contracting companies supervisor, I drive 45 mins to go see them to show them the damages, and in 5 mins he says they are'nt liable. WTF Fast forward to present day, I've been going back and forth with AAA about this incident and they keep asking for more pictures, pictures of the other wheels, pictures to show that the center bore doesnt touch the wheel, pictures of the sideskirt. I prove them wrong on one thing and they ask for another. At this point im just fed up with this crap, if anyone knows me, they know im pretty anal about my car and would not have done this myself. But AAA thinks otherwise...

I've talked to lawyers about this, but now i need your opinion on this guys, should I continue going through AAA or just go straight to my lawyers about this?

Okay im done with my rant now, sorry it was so long. I'll have pictures posted soon.

I am in the car buesness (work for ramsey infiniti in NJ so let me know if u guys need anew g or m) and am in the process of selling me 2001 CL-S even though I just payed over 3K for a new tranny cuz now its leaking oil from the rear main seal. I was doing my math on the car and all the payments, interest, maintence ,trannies, coil packs, brakes, mods and came out to about $50,000 in almost 10 years (it will be 10 in march) for a $30,000 car...follow me...
Now the TSX is costing me $364 x 36months = $13,150 + $2000 down payment so total of $15,150 for 3 years..So that is a little over 5K a year for a $30,000 car.. So if i started leasing instead of buying I would have been on my 4th NEW car and spent a total of the same money I spent now and am driving a 10 year old car the is worth less then I payed to have the tranny rebuilt... Sounds like a no brainer for me...
Also I dunno how many time I seen people finance a car even at 0% and they come in 3 years later and they are upsidown..
If u financed a TSX at 0% with the same amount down as the lease ($2000) the payement on the finance would be AT LEAST $150 more a month and thats a 0% for 60 months which Acura almost never does so if you went to trade that car in after 3 years your payment was $150 more the past 3 years and u most likely will be upsidown or break even if you are lucky..
Lemme know what you guys think of all this..

Back when we were but wee little Autobloggers, Easter was one of our favorite holidays. Not that we were religious, mind, we just really dug finding baskets filled with sugary treats nestled in plastic grass first thing in the morning. As far as we were concerned, you could keep your colored eggs, your jellybeans, your Cadbury creme eggs – heck, we weren't even that excited about those supernaturally yellow marshmallow Peep things – we wanted the Big Daddy – the solid chocolate bunny.

You can imagine our horror, then, when at some point in our childhood, our long-eared cacao friend went on a diet, although we didn't know it right off. Oh, he looked about the same – and he even sported the same jaunty tinfoil jacket. But he weighed much less – he was – *shudder* – hollow. Empty inside like our little crestfallen Easter morning spirits.

Thankfully, these many years later, Porsche Centrum Gelderland appears to be going some way towards healing our childhood wounds and restoring our faith in humanity. Well, if not humanity, at least in the validity of hollow chocolate treats. You see, the Dutch Porsche dealership has apparently taken a brand-new 911 Carrera S and as a sort of marketing stunt, they've gone and covered it in chocolate. According to AB tipster Patrick, in the absence of a giant dipping mechanism, they've used 175 kilos of molten goodness (that's about 385 pounds) to conceal Stuttgart's finest, reserving another couple kilos of white chocolate for detailing like the headlamps.

Why on earth did they decide to do this? It's apparently for a Dutch holiday centered around "Sinterklaas" – Saint Nicholas – who was the Danish inspiration for Santa Claus. As the story goes, the holiday is held in The Netherlands on the evening of December 5, and one of the holiday's most storied traditions is that people buy or make chocolate letters in celebration – hence the milky goodness that is Centrum Gelderland's Choco997.

The dipped Porsche will remain on display until Christmas, at which time we fully expect to see it wheeled into a walk-in freezer until it can to be thawed in time to make an appearance in our Easter basket next Spring.

My mom has a 2002 Lexus RX300 with 107,000 miles on it and we just found out the transmission is on its way out and that it will be $4,400 to replace it. We've had this car since the odometer showed 12 miles and have been meticulous on maintenance.

My mom doesn't seem to believe that 107K is a premature transmission failure but I believe it is. Add to the fact that Club Lexus's First-Gen RX section is PACKED with trans failures, many of them under 100,000 miles. Also, my '04 Hyundai Santa Fe is running strong at 130,000 miles on its original transmission.

We haven't decided what to do just yet but I wanted to see if y'all thought 107K is too early for the transmission to be biting the big one.
