Looking good.

Are you planning on putting in a new medicine cabinet or patching over with new drywall? We decided to remove and patch. You lose a little storage space, but it looks a bit cleaner.

I'm looking for a medicine cabinet that looks nice. The ones they have at home depot look like cheap pieces of crap. I did find a nice one that was outlined in wood and would have matched the mirror I bought and the vanity but it was 200 dollars. I don't really want to spend that kind of cash. I'd like to not have a medicine cabinet because I do like the look but I don't have much storage in the upstairs bath. Downstairs has more room so I'm still not sure what the plans are with that one

Not sure why that got me all excited

Looks like the place is coming along very nicely!

Decided to patch the medicine cabinet area in the downstairs bathroom and just paint over it. There is already enough storage. Still need one upstairs though. Also found out the fucking place has radiant heat sheetrock so the new lighting in the kitchen/living room is pretty limited. Crap is apparently a pain in the ass.

Make one! It's just a face frame with a door on a shallow box.

I built one up for a friend about a year ago because the old condo she lives in doesn't take the new standard-size cabinets.

^ - I don't have the wood skills that you have. I considered framing the upstairs one and just throwing on a simple door but I don't now if I can get it to match the mirror and vanity. I think in the meantime I'm just going to try and figure out the rest of the colors for the walls and get the other crap installed.

So I finally finished the kitchen today - nailed in the last baseboard for the cabinets. So happy a room is finished. I'm really dragging my feet with this and have totally blown past when I wanted to be done with the entire unit. Oh well, now I hope to move in before xmas

Filled the medicine cabinet area in the downstairs bathroom. Will be buying the wood to make a cabinet for the upstairs.

I've turned my attention to the living room now. Decided to paint the 70's style white washed bricks white. So far so good (just primer now).

Very nice, I've been debating on what to do to my fireplace. I may end up painting it also.

I see you had a few refreshments while painting.

I wish. Those have been there for a few months. I never get over there on the right recycling day. One of these days I'll clean up a little.
