Radio locked

Hoping someone can help-was in vehicle all day and factory radio was working fine. Came home and when i left again and went to turn on radio -code was flashing on screen.I read the owners manual which said this would occur if the battery was connected, which it wasn't.I also checked the fuses (8 & 9) and they are both okay. I keep entering the code and continues to come up with err1,err2 (error) and so on.The system will allow 10 errors before kicking you out. I also tried disconnecting the battery for five minutes to hopefully reset itself but it did not.
Has anyone had this problem??
It's an 2002 TLS-no navigation, with CD player.
Thanks!

Dude I went through the same thing last friday. I read on this board to either drive to an underground garage where there's no radio reception or disconnect the antenna from the back of the radio. I went ahead and disconnected the antenna and voila it works!!! It was a p.i.t.a 4 me to do but there are no underground garages nearby.

Might want to check the DIY/FAQ thread.

Specifically under the TL "Radio Won't Accept Code"
