Correct. I have one free subwoofer left. I would give you a Rockford Fosgate Prime series 12" sub with order of a 3rd gen TL enclosure.

NEW ENCLOSURE for 3rd Gen TL

Some of you guys have seen this already. We've had a ton of response from AZ members on this under-deck mounted enclosure we did for a 2007 TL. This TL is owned by a long time customer of ours. He likes lots of bass. I was hoping to talk him into two 10's or even a single 10" sub and enclosure. Nope... he chose the new JL Audio 13TW5 which is a 3" thick 13" round monster. It made the enclosure a bit bigger than I wanted but the result was still outstanding.

I have been visiting AZ for a about 4months now (just got an 06 TL w/ Nav) to learn about the car but I never actually joined the site. Until I saw this thread. I cant believe the work that you do. I gotta say... outstanding.

Anyways, I saw the offer on your signature for a free sub included with the enclosure. Is that still available? I would like details. How does the sub included in the offer compare to your JL 10w6v2 recommendation?

I live in Dallas/Ft worth, TX 76063. Do you ship out here? PM me if you get a chance.

Thanks!

More info and pics on this please! I've always thought this would be a good way to do add bass. I have your enclosure in my 08 TSX. Still a fan! I might be getting the new TL soon. Any plans to make anything for that car yet?

I ship everywhere.

I am still offering the free subwoofer to one more buyer. The free sub is a Rockford Fosgate Prime Series 10" or 12". This sub is quite different than the JL Audio 10W6V2. Just for reference retail cost on the free sub is $90 while the 10W6V2 is $440.

There are several subwoofers that work great in this enclosure. What type of music do you listen to? Do you have an amp already?

I dont have anything yet. My brother works at best buy so I was planning on getting an amp there. Recommendations?

As far as the music I listen to, I listen to everything from rap to rock and a lot of acoustic stuff so my main concern is to have something that sounds clean. I feel the stock sound is mediocre and it definitely sucks at a lower ranges. I spend almost 3 hours everyday in traffic so when Im listening to music in my car I wanna be able to experience a full range of sound with clarity. If i get the free speaker, Ill probably put that in the wife's car.

Sorry for the noob question but how do I actually make the purchase and how much does it cost? (enclosure, shipping, tax?)

THanks again!

Good questions.

If there is one thing that we've perfected it's sound clarity. A single Rockford P3D410 subwoofer and a Rockford 300-2 amplifier will get you exactly where you want to be. Bestbuy carries both of those. We can build the enclosure to fit those requirements so that your bass performance is right on.

Cost on the enclosure is $350, no tax. Shipping to your zip code is $31.61. When you're ready I need your email address. I'll send a PayPal invoice to you and you can pay using the PayPal secure checkout.

We've made a double 10" under-deck enclosure for the Gen 3 TL. It is a couple inches thinner than the single 13" enclosure pictured above. And the subs sit back about an inch more toward the seat. This should create harder hitting bass and more of it. Not to mention a smaller profile and better look. Testing it next week.

We've made a couple of these for different subs. My personal favorites for this enclosure are the Rockford P3 Series slim subs, the MTX slim subs and the Pioneer shallow mount subs.

Let's do it! The dude that we did the single 13TW7 for says it's not punchy enough and wants to change to the dual 10's. It's funny because we spent so much time trying to talk him out of the 13" monster.

I've done both sides many times in several different models of car. There is more sound added by the addition woofer. However, it is pretty costly to have twin enclosures made. We have the molds for twins in the TSX but any other car we would need the vehicle for several days to get that done.

Ha hA!!! The difference between Unique Whips and us is that we actually know what we're doing. ..... most of the time.

Thank you for the compliment. You should come down to the shop when you have some free time so we can chat about your TL. And there are always sick cars and bikes in here.

I'm going to have to take a trip out there too! I think just the educated conversations we've had over PM have got me ready to spend and spend! It's worth the gas and toll coming back over that new bridge from Gig Harbor!

Hey, Uncald4, I have a Pioneer Premier 12' and the model number is TS-W126CDVC. Could you build an enclosure for this sub? I mostly listen to rap/hip-hop and R&B occasionally and I have a 1999 Acura TL-P. I see the pics with the subs mounted to the sides of the trunk, would you be able to make a enclosure that would sit against the back seat?

Quick question: The underdeck enclosure mounts with 4 bolts. I got that, but now have you located existing holes that we can use with the use of washer or something so we dont have to drill through the metal. I butchered the last box trying to get it to mount into metal. and still failed

I can definitely build an enclosure for that sub to fit your TL. We can build a box any way you like. However, the side enclosure fired upwards and rearward produces the best bass out of any other configuration in that car.

Ha ha! Mounting the under deck enclosure is easier than the corner one. There are no existing holes that can be used.

Yes, we've done a few. Before you ask.... I'll need your car for a couple days in order to get it done. Our shop is in Washington State.
