2nd Gen CL Door Panel Removal

I did a search for this and couldn't find much help...but does anyone know the steps to remove the door panels to install the front speakers?

Here are some instructions. The pics are from an old post by Smitty.

1) Roll down the window and remove the sail panel (triangle piece with tweeter) inside of the side mirror. There are two clips holding this piece. Pry it out at the back edge, which is towards the rear of the car. Then slide it back to free the front corner.

2) Pry open the small plug behind the door latch by using a small screwdriver inserted in the notch towards the rear. It is hinged and will not fall out. Remove the screw underneath.

3) Push the whole door latch assembly towards the dash just a little and pull out. Unhook the small plastic clip holding the door rod. Now you can remove the handle and the cup it sits in.

4) Next, use a long Philips screwdriver to remove the screw under your armrest.

5) Now you can pull the door panel away. Reach behind the panel and slide your fingers up next to the clips and pull straight out to avoid breaking them. Start at the bottom rear corner of the door and work you way around, popping the clips every 6 inches or so.

6) Now that the clips are loose, push up on the panel which is held at the top by a flange that is as long as your window (under the chrome strip).

7) Before you take the panel away from the car reach behind and release all the wiring harnesses for your power window, door locks, etc. If you are careful, you can avoid unhooking the harnesses by rotating the panel 90 degrees (front edge up) and resting it on the ground while leaning it against the door.
