Cool All-Cali | SOCAL Caravan Info! June 30th, 2007!!!

Ok the purpose of this thread is to organize the GIGANTIC SoCal Caravan.

All SoCal cities will use ONLY this thread to setup All-Cali | SoCal Caravan.

Please don't drift off topic either.

In this thread we'll setup the meeting points along the way to the All Cali Mega Meet.

First Caravan to leave will be the San Diego Crew which will meet up with all the other caravans along the way to make one HUGE caravan.

So lets start organizing this

I'm assuming we are taking the 101 N to get there? Or are we going to take the 5 and cutting over?

That will be figured out in this thread LOL

We'll need to figure out the fastest way to get there. I'll look it up.

It looks as if the 101 would be easier.

101.

There is a perfect, last meet spot for all the caravans when heading up north, which is in the san fernando valley (818).

It's a huge parking lot right off the freeway, a gas station around the block if anyone needs to fill up, and it usually is pretty empty, for the most part.

I think best way is to have SD crews and OC crews meet at 818 Caravan, then all head up North to All Cali meet.

All I'm going to tell you is that it'll be well worth the drive

Plus you'll probably be in a Caravan snaking over 1 mile long

I can't wait to see that!

Really though I'm not sure. Type in your address and use the park address for an estimated time at 65 to 70 mph.

The thing is, NorCAL REALLy needs to get their shit together and contribute. I see that 90% of the people are socal, and if that's the case...we might as well just forget driving 5 hours just to meet 3 people...we might as well just go to vegas instead.

just an idea.

I guess the fun part of this meet is to cruise up in a HUGE caravan because people been complaining about lack of cruise after meet.

I looked up yahoo map
approximately 196.2 miles
Time from Rosemead *where we have SoCal Meet: 3hrs 8mins

this is just a suggestion but i think it will be the best. once LA crew chimes in (anthony i think) with the meet spot for them and further details. i will make a more advanced and detail mapping.

SD crew, please show me address or location of where you will be meeting

after all mapping is done, we will calculate timing!

im a genious now give me rep points =p

I personally think that instead of SD group meet with OC group before heading North to meet with either LA group of 818 group, everyone (SD, OC, LA) will just meet up in one place (818 for example) then all will head out to the final location. By doing this way, each group can manage time little easier and don't have to wait too long for everyone else to arrive. Remember, SD group will have approx of 5 hrs of driving so even we will reach final destination around 12PM, they have to start going at 7:00AM, not counting waiting time at each destination.
Here is the location of 818 caravan meet. I think this is the caravan location that everyone should meet. OC group will meet at SuperAutobac then head up to this location. Same for SD and any other group along the way up to 818 caravan meet.

very great idea huy, as i though of that too!

but its a weight issue. on one side, you have less time assumption as an advantage. on the other side, you have more time to drive with more people. you really weigh them out, and to me, i prefer driving more with more people.

its two really great plan, but i really think its something for everyone else to agree on

1. plan one-SD meets OC, then SD/OC meets LA - more fun =]
2. plan two-SD meets LA, OC meets LA - more time efficient

but as for the time efficient part of it, i think you will only cut out maybe 20 minutes at the most.

lets have a vote.

im down for plan one

and also, now that i see mikes meeting spot for the la crew, i will map it out as well just to see.

BTW mike, is ur meet spot right off there freeway?

I think all the caravans should meet up at the 818 location for the final caravan. I'm saying this because from here on, it's STILL 3 hours or so of a drive. I'm sure it's more than enough...I mean I know you guys love each other a lot but we don't have to hold hands the whole way up, lol.

Plus, one thing I always worry about is people in the caravan not making the right freeway transition. It's especially hard with a long caravan because some people just don't have enough time to switch all the way over.

With everyone meeting at the 818 location, the route up is very straight forward. I believe you just stick on one freeway, the 101. We can fill up on gas here, and get everything organized and then head up the final stretch. Just my 2 dollars, yo!

I agree, everyone should meet with 818 caravan off the 101 and cruise north. Take into consideration the LA traffic and freeway construction, the second plan is more plausible...

walkie talkies and always use turn signals or emergency lights as a signal of communication.

like use signals a lot earlier to notify the whole caravan a transition is coming...etc etc...

Well, it doesn't matter for me because I'm going to the 818 caravan since I live half a mile away, lol. Just don't start pointing fingers when only half the caravan shows up. I don't know who was there for the meet, but if you guys remember the "short" caravan up to Speedzone? Only a few survivors made it...

Anyone want to caravan with me from Dallas to Cali, lol. I actually have a friend that is thinking about taking his built GST to Cali with me. Summer school might be an issue for him, but he's saying he's going to go. Hope so!

When we all meet up... we should roll with our headlights on so we all know who is in the caravan and who isnt.... just in case someone starts to fall behind or what not

Very good idea. Thats what the SD crew usually does becuase people do fall behind sometimes.

we should all get shirts made with the Acurazine logo on the back, and our user name on the front left breast.

That would be sick...

anyone have any ideas of how much this may cost?

id throw some designs out there, but my creativity stops there...

If you do it I'll pay for one! Thats a great idea. Anthony did that, but the way your saying it would be better.

I personally think plan B is a better idea. I voted for Plan A at first, but I think driving for 3 hours with PLan B is good enough. Plus it just makes things easier to run

P.S. Does ANYBODY have a megaphone?!?! We need one really bad for this whole Caravan and meet!

Lightbulb Acurazine Shirts

Dang, I wish I knew how to design a T-shirt, like program-wise and the like. Anyone on the forum have any experience doing this kind of stuff? That would sure help out alot.

That and we'd need to figure out what colors the shirts should be, who wants what color, etc. One other thing, in addition to what I mentioned earlier, we should place an Acura (or Honda) emblem on the opposite side of the username.

Anyone know where I could get a high-res graphic of the Acurazine logo above?

Anyone have any ideas as to how the layout should look like? Any font suggestions? Any shirt printing places?

So many questions... I'm sure you all would want one for the All-Cali meet. I know I would.

This should be a different thread, last thing i want to do is hijack this one....
