When you give Alyssa a cocktail of 100 octane race gas and methanol injection, she won’t hesitate to put out an amazing 760 rwhp/713 ft-lb torque at a mere 18psi of boost. Oh yea, I forgot to mention Alyssa is carrying twins; both named Garrett. Move aside 1977 Topps #207 C-3P0 Error trading card: you just got served on the Rarity dance floor! Alyssa’s tech sheet seems to come straight from of a Grand Am race team: Darton sleeves, custom 90mm crankshaft, port & polished heads, custom valve train, Cosworth bearings, and the list goes on and on. The plethora of engine components easily places this build as one of the craziest non-corporate builds we’ve ever seen here at JTuned.

This guy went through hell with a local shop when it came to an engine build. He got screwed pretty bad. I'm glad he stuck with the car and finished it.

The guys who did the engine actually run the same set up, but w/ over 800 at the wheels.

Why is that people who put that much money into a car, and get bored and end up making it ugly?

 

this car is going to be one of 2 things:

1) trailer queen for shows etc.

2) car with a blown motor in less than 6 months.

VQ is not boost friendly and after perusing around the forums for the past 2 years I can't tell you guys how often I've seen then "I was just giving her a little gas when all of a sudden I felt like I lost all power".

Even built these things manage to fall apart countless times.

Guys like VRT and Forged Performance don't often go over around 450 whp (from my readings) because the components in the engine are poor and things always manage to go wrong within a short period of time.

On the flipside though: THIS CAR KICKS ASS!!!

I've been running it daily with no problems for 4 months now I think... Take it everywhere I go...to work, from work, grocery shopping, going out, getting coffee, meets, cruises, etc etc. It makes my everyday drives more fun.

I could have bought a 911 turbo easy with the money spent on this car. Easily a slightly used Ferrari. I could have easily gotten a new Z06 and slapped on a TT and made it a 850rwhp car. But that is just no fun. I like pushing new grounds. Anyone can twin turbo anything and make big power. But not everyone can push the limits of a current platform.

 

Absolutely amazing. This is the kind of modding i love to see. A big step up from the usual bolt ons.
