Is an OEM Acura/Honda battery worth it?

My OEM Acura battery in my 03 TL just died - gave me six good years. Should I replace with a similar OEM Acura battery or go cheaper at Autozone? What's the difference?

Hell no, you're going to overpay for a mediocre battery, buy a diehard, or a good Interstate, personally I recommend the optimas but they're expensive

Optima batteries really are the way to go, however, Interstate makes a good one as well as the trusty Sears Diehard.

Look into Deka Batteries. Still made in the US down the road from me. Make great car audio batteries.

That really doesn't mean anything unless they have changed their corporate quality policy, and unless you know for a fact this holds true, it serves as nothing more then a speculative point.

To each their own, but I'm just sayin'...

Says the guy running an Optima...

Powermaster batts ftw. I've stayed out of this discussion for awhile, but I can't be happier with my PM D5100R. It's smaller than my factory Honda/Acura battery, and it holds up to my current draws much better than the factory batter + a Kinetik HC600 in the back. They cost a little bit more, but they are well worth the money. Call Mechman at 1-888-632-4626 for the lowest shipped price anywhere on the internet.
