I swear people in Europe are the fucking weirdest people ever. I'd just guess most of those are in Eastern Europe, they're quite a bit crazier over in that direction.

Those trunk monkey ads were real ad campaigns for Suburban Auto Group in Sandy, Oregon, east of Portland.

As for padlocking your car to a parking sign, I've heard about a chick who got her bicycle stolen when thieves just took off the top part of the sign, then slid the cable over the top of the pole and made off with the bike.
