Issues after deck install 02 TL

My brother just installed an aftermarket deck into his 02 TL, no nav. Everything works great, but his check engine and SRS lights are on. His gauges won't light up either. Anyone know why this might happen?

If you think it happened durring the install recheck the work.check everything around where you were working.stiped wires, unpluged plugs.
Sometime people don't get there wiring together and just ball up the wires and jam the radio in and say ,it's done.Bad things can happen if +12v wires touch stuff there not suposto

Did he use a wiring harness from Metra or of the sorts?

This can happen if you don't unplug the battery while installing. Did he unplug the battery for about a hour to reset things?

Thanks for the help guys. We tracked it down to a blown fuse under the hood that controls the interior lights, tailights, etc... Still don't know why it blew, but it works for now. I don't think he disconnected the battery before starting the installation.

Probably shorted something while he was working on it. Thank your lucky stars that all he fried was a fuse.
