Saying goodbye, but not completely
well the day came and the TL is now owned by another.
really nice guy with a really good cause for buying the car.
met the guy by mistake and started talking cars. i mentioned i was buying a new car soon and he mentioned that he was lookin for a 4 door reliable car.
he also said that he drove a 98 SH prelude and the reason for looking for a sedan was that his brother (who is mentally handicapped) has trouble getting in and out of the Lude and they were really trying to find a 4 door.
well since the TL was going to take on the "project" roll after i buy the new car this febuary, i figured i'd offer to look at his honda to possibly help him out while keeping me in a car till the new year.
long story short. the TL was sold tonight and i am a proud owner of one the favorites from my Teenage years.
98 prelude and is already being worked on.
i loved and miss my TL already, and plan on sticking around to help in any way i can. but this is the end of the road in the TL game for me. it was a great car and i was extatic to find this site to help me build along the way.
so goodbye to my car. hopefully the new owner can find his way here and use your help like i did. i was glad to help him out in such a big way.
thanks everyone for all the useful info.
those of you who are fairly new. this was my car.
pics of the prelude when i get a wash and wax in.

RIP.

One of the nicest FPR's.. glad you were able to help someone out in the cause too! It's always good to at least get to own one of those "dream cars" from when you were younger.
Good luck with the lude, careful of the prelude curse! *knocks on wood

Hey joining me eh? Nice bro gotta admit your car was in my Top 3 99-01 favorites. Enjoy the prelude and nice trade, I'd probably have done the same. I still have yet to purchase another car, might save all winter then pick up a 3 series BMW in April or so
. Good-luck and stay safe!

try not to judge harshly..
i've only had enough times for some essentials.
dropped on F2's 18" enkei's
lip kit was already on but needs paint.
i need new seats and will probably go with a set of the Red JDM ones.
hood has fading and so does the rear bumper. so paint is a must (very soon)
cant wait to get it all nice and glossy with new seats.
hope to get it up to par and everyone's liking. im already loving the 5 spd (missed M/T so much as my DD)
goin in the shop tomorrow for a dianostic test and probably tune up.
thanks everyone...
ps. i know the turn signal lamp is missing on passenger side.. it was crooked and i was fixing a few things when i took the pic.

im learning alot already, though i think i like the JDM front bumper look slightly better. there's no wierd gray housing around the fog/turns. the mugen bumper as a whole though is sick.
need to pick up some window visors again, thanks for reminding me

but would the gas to drive there make up the difference?
i believe my shop is charging 600 for the hood/front lip/rear bumper.
not too bad.. the rest of the paint is in great shape... and the body is at 99% shape... just a few dings on the hood (be fixed when its painted)
its in the shop today... waiting to hear the results from the tests...

mine was a 99 and never had ANY tranny issues... 180,000 and still original tranny was smooth like butter...
not abusing the tranny helps too. although it wont last forever, he was ok with the purchase and it served a good purpose.
Good job on the grille DC... your A lined up a lot better than mine did

have fun!

I scrolled down too fast and thought the Mugen one was yours.
