National Geographic - Bugatti Veryron

Cool NatGeo documentary thing about the making of the Veryron. Mods, feel free to merge this into a pre-existing thread if necessary.

Some serious time has gone into the making of that car. The 10 radiators alone is incredible much more so seeing they are hand made

I thought that tire testing rig was pretty cool.

I was surprised about the speed it is capable of doing without the limiter (to 253mph). I don't think I had read/seen anything about it being able to go that much faster, and being limited for stability reasons.

Anyway, pretty sweet.

I can't believe I just watched that whole thing! Very cool, but I still cringe when people say double U engine. It should be double V! You just don't say you have a U-8 engine

Awesome watch....Out of everything mentioned about the Veyron, I think the most remarkable aspect is the braking. Jeeeeeezz....it stops faster from 252mph to 0 than most cars do from 120-0...and it weighs a SHIT LOAD!

I've always heard that it costs more to make this car than they charge for it. Now I know why. I have a newfound respect for this car.

I have watched several Ultimate Factory episodes where they made cars. I was impressed by the methods and procedures used to make cars like the ZR1, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce et. al. but I must say that those meticulous procedures don't hold a candle to what I just saw in these Veyron clips.

One word: Amazing.
