Acura TSX 10Best, again?

I was bored so I put "Acura TSX" in the search button on Community Webshots and what came up came to me as a surprise. It was a 2006 TSX and when i read the caption, it said 10 best winners and it seems as though the person who owns the pictures is from Car and Driver. I don't really know what it is so you can take a look for yourself but to me, it looks like the TSX is a 10 Best Winner AGAIN!!!

Wow the Miata made it. I was totally expecting the TSX to be replaced by the IS.

^ same. my family owns one, but i dont think its THAT good. Maybe I'm too critical..

besides, there's the Accord and 3 Series. One would expect that having both of these would mean that their perfect balance (the TSX) would be needless. Hey, I'm not complaining.

OT, I think the Civic deserves to be here. I sat in a coupe, and the difference between the interior of that and my aunt's 2002 is beyond belief. It is pioneering the class in my opinion.

^ The interior of the new Civic, from pics, doesn't impress me. It appears that Honda is still using hard plastics for the majority of the dash. My 99 Civic, by comparison, had a soft touch dash. I really think Honda started going backwards with the last Civic in terms of interior quality.

^ i agree, some areas do feature cheap plastics. but the fit and finish is superb, the majority of the material is above average for the class, and the feature list is w/o a doubt, unmatchable. it's growing on me and should be a hit. a girl at my school got one in white, and it turned my head. then again, so did my TSX when people were not aware that Acura has such a car.

I saw the new IS today. A red one. It looks nice from the back. The front seems exactly like the old one. Nothing special. At least not on my rear view mirror.

You guys realize this is the TSX's 3rd staright year on the 10 Best list don't you?

And the previous 2 years also had the Accord and 3 series.

The IS may be good but its nowhere near the value the TSX is. That factors heaviliy into C&D's decesion.

Sorry, no TL again and the RL was bumped off

It looks like only 8 of the 10 best are shown in the gallery.

I wonder what the other two are.

with the new IS coming out, I their fans were betting on it being a 3 Series and TSX beater. Obviously not, as both have made it, again..

It's rumored to be powered by the same drivetrain as in the current RDX.

Isn't that the same Sport concept that made the car show rounds already? The RDX drivetrain seems like a no brainer.

Think the TSX is the perfect Acura, it just needs to compete with the new 328 power wise/0-60.

If they release the TSX with SH-AWD and the RDX powerplant?? I will actually reconsider my desire for the 335 coupe. Why? I dont want to be a bmw owner. And i'll got a lot more tuner support with the TSX. Finally? An Acura car with turbo! I'm going to have a heartattack. I'm going to heartattack!

The next gen TSX discussion has been beaten to death on the TSX board and at vtec.

Everyone hopes that the next gen TSX will have SH-AWD, a 4 cyl turbo, and possibly between 240-250hp.

^ I know, but after reading about the turbo lag on the RDX, I'm not sure I'd like to see it in the TSX. The 4-cylinder in the TSX can still benefit from Honda's version of direct injection (see this thread), and maybe a 6-speed tranny would make it more responsive. I know a lot of people complain about the TSX being slow, but I think it's very good considering its only a 4-cylinder car with a heavy weight.

But the same magazine got the 07 CR-V correctly. They posted a CR-V CGI pic back in March which looked 95% identical to the official press photos.

I hope this isn't just a lame photoshop but an actual new picture of the next iteration of last years's Sport 4 concept (above)...

Notice that like for the previous TL and RDX concepts, now the grille is a traditional Honda grille, the rear-view mirrors are traditional and not cameras, and the headlights are projectors and not LED.

I like where it's going, I just hope they change the tail a little bit and make it more like the MDX/RDX, the tail lights look kind of funny on this one...
