This article applies to the Acura RDX.

The cabin air filter is designed to ensure you're breathing fresh air when driving your Acura RDX. It filters the air going through your vents, thus sacrificing itself to give you fresh air. With this in mind, overtime, the cabin filter gets dirty, which can restrict (and not filter) the air going into your cabin and cause it to breath dirty air. Replacing the cabin air filter should be done every 15,000 to 25,000 miles. However, the various weather conditions can make a difference, and dusty days will clog it up a lot quicker than a beautiful, clean day. Get into the habit of checking the cabin air filter every 10,000 miles to ensure you and your passengers are breathing fresh, clean air. Read on to learn how to replace the cabin air filter in the Acura RDX.
