  • Jack stands

Step 1 – Jack up car

The Acura RDX has made it easy for you to raise the car, as they have placed the front and rear jack points in the best spot possible. Locate the center plate on the front of the car, then place your jack under it and raise the car. If you're raising the rear, then find the center plate in the rear (you can't miss it), then jack up the car. Raise the front or the rear high enough for the jack stands to fit under it.

Step 2 – Secure with jack stands

Before going any further in your DIY project, you have to secure the car with a minimum of two jack stands. If you're jacking up the front, place your jack stands behind the front wheel, on both sides of the frame rails. If you're jacking up the rear, place your jack stands on both sides of the frame rail, in front of the rear wheels. Slowly lower the car until it sits securely on the jack stands.
