Acura TSX 2004-2008: How to Replace Windshield Wiper Blades

The windshield wiper blades are small, inexpensive components that are critical to your safety when driving your Acura TSX. Whether you use it all the time, or you even if you don't, the blades need to be replaced every six months to a year. Although you can visit the dealership for such a procedure, it would be considered money wasted, especially after you see how simple the process really is. If you feel like your wiper blades aren't cleaning the windshield as well, or if you hear them squeaking or leaving streaks, then read on to learn how to replace them yourself in the Acura TSX.

Materials Needed

  • New wiper blades

Step 1 – Remove the wipers

Open the wiper arm, press the plastic spring tab, then pull the wiper down to remove, towards the base of the wiper arm.

Step 2 – Remove wiper blade

On the edge of the wiper, pull the blade down along the rail to remove. It may be stuck or difficult to remove, but once you release the first part, the whole thing should slide down smoothly.

Step 3 – Install new blade

Install the new blade onto the wiper. Simply insert it from the bottom, then slide it all the way up until it locks in place. Make sure it's aligned properly, then install the wiper onto the arm. You can do that by reversing Step 1. Push the wiper onto the arm, then push up this time to lock the spring tab in place.
